ELL
As children continue to enroll in St. Anthony School, the number of students whose native language is not English continues to grow. As the primary spoken language in a country with a rich history of immigration and cultural diversity, English and its mastery are an important part of educational development. ELL is offered to students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. Students will study the English language in a small group setting with the close supervision of our ELL teacher.

I attended St. Paul for grade school before graduating from Providence High School in 1995 and then Indiana University Southeast in 2000 with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement.
I taught one year in Louisville before joining the SAS family in 2001. I began teaching 2nd grade here, before moving to 3rd grade. In 2008, I left to stay at home and raise 3 children. Once they were older, I stayed active in the school community by subbing and taking over temporary positions in various grades at St. John Paul. When a 3rd grade position became available at St. Anthony's, I was excited to come back and once again teach at St. Anthony School.
I have been married to my husband, Garrett, for over 16 years. We have three wonderful kids, Audrey, Harrison, and Ava. In my spare time I love reading, watching Hallmark movies, watching IU basketball and football games, and Colts football games. I also enjoy cooking, taking walks, and hanging out with my family. A fun fact about me is that I volunteered in the St. Anthony After School Care when I was a junior at Providence High School.
