Seventh and eighth grade students compete in a St. Anthony Science Fair. The winners advance to the Deanery Science Fair held at Providence High School. The students compete with junior high students from each of the schools in the New Albany Deanery. The students must present their project to various judges. Students also have time to meet and mingle with students from the other schools and check out the other students’ projects. The presentations take place in the morning. Students are given a pizza lunch, which is always a favorite! After lunch, an awards ceremony is held recognizing all students for advancing to the Deanery Science Fair. Winners for each grade are selected as well. The students enjoy this day combining science, competition, and fellowship very much.
